This listing is for a vintage Kennedy cantilever tool box in overall very nice condition.
The box was owned by an elderly man who said this box was his grandfather’s and he believed it is from the 1950’s.
The box has the typical brown, hammered-paint that Kennedy is well known for. The box measures approximately 18 inches long, 12 3/4 inches tall and 10 inches deep. I have not cleaned the box up. It will be even nicer when cleaned.
The box was used by the previous owner as a tackle box so there is a little surface corrosion on the bottom and bottom edge. This could quickly be removed with a little steel wool. The bottom is rock solid. Surface corrosion only.
The good thing about him using the box as a tackle box is that the cubbies were all lined with cork, which I have removed. They look practically new underneath! There is some glue residue on the two large cubbies on top but I scratched it with my fingernail and it will come off quite easily.
This is a heavy box even empty. Shipping will be $35 anywhere in Michigan and likely more outside of Michigan.
This is a beauty guys! They just don’t make them like this anymore.
