condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Guild
model name / number: Starfire III
This is an American made Guild that was manufactured in Westerly, Rhode Island in 1998. It is a thin, hollow-body guitar that can be used for anything from jazz to rock. It is in "excellent" condition and to some it might be considered "mint". The signs of this guitar having been played are very light to barely noticeable.

I am not an expert, but some Guild aficionados believe that the build quality of electric guitars made in Westerly in the late 90's to early 2000's were second to none. What is also interesting is that there were a couple of years, including 1998, when Guild was installing humbucker pickups made by Seymour Duncan, as original equipment in the Starfire. Based on the screw configuration, it is likely this guitar has the SD-1 pickups, but I have not removed them to verify. They produce very nice tones, both clean and overdriven.

There are no issues with this guitar. I'm just following my interests, which change every few years! Includes hard shell Guild case.
