This is the Jackson Audio Prism. It's a Swiss-Army-Knife pedal that is excellent for boosting, buffering, and EQing your signal. It's an amazing tool if you need a consistent sound to your rig when playing through different backline amps. Here's a rundown of the controls:
• CIRCUIT: This toggles between three different preamp circuits. COLOR is a Rangemaster treble booster type circuit. AMP emulates the preamp of a tube amplifier. TRANS is a completely transparent clean boost.
• PRE-GAIN: This toggles between three different levels of clipping. HIGH is for heavy breakup lead tones. MED is for mild breakup rhythm tones. LOW is for clean boosting and tone shaping.
• TONE: This is a ±15 dB boost or cut in the treble frequencies. 12:00 is flat. Clockwise is brighter. Counter-clockwise is warmer.
• BODY: This is a ±15 dB boost or cut in the bass frequencies. 12:00 is flat. Clockwise is fatter. Counter-clockwise is thinner.
• BOOST: This is the output level of the Prism. Once the other knobs are set where you like, you can either adjust the BOOST to unity gain with your dry signal. Or you can crank the knob for a big volume increase, or to push your tube amp to overdrive.
This Prism is in excellent condition. The electronics work perfectly. The pots, jacks and switches are all clean and quiet. You can power this with a 1Spot or Boss PSA-style ac/dc adapter, or with your standard 9-volt pedalboard power supply.
