This beauty is in excellent condition, I enjoy playing this guitar so some minimal wear will occur. Fully set up. Neck straightened, frets hand-polished then buffed to a chrome-like finish, fretboard treated, screws and bolts torqued, intonation set, strung up with Stringjoy Naturals 12 - 48s.
At long last, Gretsch has bridged the beauty and higher performing sonics of its pro line and the attainability of its more affordable offerings to form a bold new bird: the Synchromatic Falcon. This all-maple, hollowbody electric guitar features impressive upgraded appointments, including enhanced Semi-Arc bracing, an ebony-based Adjusto-matic bridge, and a longer 25.5-inch scale length with an ebony fingerboard for under-finger feel that punches well above its weight. Gretsch’s vivacious Hi-Fidelity Filter’Trons join in to give the Synchromatic Falcon a surprisingly luxurious tone in the spirit of the original late-’50s humbucker blueprint. Finally, the glorious gaud that has long cemented the flagship Falcon as Gretsch’s all-time centerpiece stands out with surprising attention to detail for the Synchromatic Falcon’s humble price point, complete with bejeweled knobs, Grover tuners, gold sparkle multi-ply binding, and, of course, that bird-emblazoned gold plexi pickguard! Topped with a Bigsby B60 vibrato for maximum expressive potential, the Synchromatic Falcon flies with expectation-shattering sound, style, and streamlined playability.
Phenomenal hollowbody handling
Full-hollowbody performance awaits with the single-cut Synchromatic Falcon’s all-laminated maple body. This beautiful silhouette comes sonically enhanced beneath its arched top with Gretsch’s Semi-Arc bracing pattern, providing remarkable projection and vivid natural articulation to distinctly complement its plugged-in voice. Its longer, 25.5-inch scale length offers endless navigable freedom as well, spanning a gorgeous and sustain-laden ebony fingerboard that’s lined with Gretsch’s timeless Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. It all sits atop a universally comfortable C-shaped neck, landing in the hands of both advancing and veteran players with outstanding command.
Two Hi-Fidelity Filter’Trons onboard
Paired with your favorite amp, the Synchromatic Falcon absolutely comes to life thanks to a duo of specially designed Hi-Fidelity Filter’Trons. These dual-coils are designed in the spirit of Gretsch’s original humbucker design, providing crisp treble with a tight low end that sings with a voice quite reminiscent of single-coil pickups — but with exceptional hum-canceling clarity to boot!
To sculpt the Synchromatic Falcon’s tone perfectly to your liking, both Hi-Fidelity Filter’Trons have dedicated Volume controls, plus a Master Tone knob for even further refinement. Up at the cutaway, like all true Gretsches, you’ll find the Master Volume control, which comes upgraded with a built-in treble bleed circuit that works beautifully in conjunction with your chosen pickup position. All this puts a wide range of trademark Gretsch tones at your disposal, from bright and forward rock energy to subdued and flavorful jazz.
Golden Falcon glow throughout
Beyond its fantastic feel and Filter’Tron-infused tone, the Synchromatic Falcon further showcases a stunning tribute to the hardware appointments of Gretsch’s top bird. First of all, this 6-string gets an actual ebony-based Adjusto-matic bridge, paired perfectly with a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece for a tremendous balance of responsiveness and expressive playability.
