Our sole existence is to create a more health conscious society- one person at a time. We plan to 'Fuel Your Tomorrow' by preparing fresh, health conscious, chef-prepared meals on a weekly basis, that will be hand-delivered. Our chefs prepare customized, organic, ready to eat meals to be delivered to our customers' doors or to be picked up at our retail space in the Village Commons. Our retail space will be a location where customers can pick up their weekly meals or simply grab a small bite to eat with friends. Everything we do is to better our Traverse City neighborhood with wholesome meals and to better our environment with eco friendly products.
Following the prep list created by chefs to plan duties.
Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible (FIFO)
Follow recipes prepared by the chef.
Use your creativity to create recipes using 100% yield.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, etc.
Prepare simple dishes such as healthy pre-packaged sandwiches, salads, entrees, etc.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
Proven experience as a prep cook.
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
ServSafe certified (preferred).
A team player with good communication skills.
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure.
Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $11.00 to $12.00 /hour
