This Government Postcard (GPC) is autographed by 1944-1953 Detroit Tigers Bob Swift. It is postmarked New York City, June 23, 1949. Swift also played for the St. Louis Browns as well as the Philadelphia Athletics. Deceased 1966, very tough autograph. Swift died of lung cancer at the age of 51. Rarely do you see true VINTAGE autographs like these and have the ability to know when it was signed. ALSO NOTE: MOST OF THESE WERE ALSO ADDRESSED TO THE FAN BY THE PLAYER HIMSELF, INCLUDING THIS ONE BY SWIFT!
