These items have been in my collection since the late '70s. The letter is from 1954, as the content mentions the "new" Baltimore Orioles. Very nice graphics on the Chesterfield Cigarettes / New York Giants letterhead! Both the letter and the postcard are personalized to "Dwight". This letter is from 6 years prior to Harwell becoming a Detroit Tigers broadcaster! Mr. Harwell had one of the most recognizable voices in the game of baseball, and has the distinct honor of being the only broadcaster to ever be traded for a player!
