Tax Preparers are needed to support Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency's (NMCAA) free tax service for low income families, seniors and the disabled. You will prepare basic tax returns to help our tax clients receive the tax credits they have earned and need. Some tax preparation experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Preparers are required to pass a basic IRS test prior to preparing taxes.

NMCAA operates tax preparation sites in Traverse City, Cadillac, Petoskey, Kalkaska, Bellaire, Roscommon, West Branch and Frankfort. Volunteer hours and times are flexible.

The program is supported by the IRS and the state of Michigan. There is no liability for tax preparers. NMCAA will reimburse for milage.
